1 Variable Distribution
**SOCS(U)**
- S: Shape – skewed left, skewed right, approximately uniform, approximately symmetric, bimodal, trimodal
- O: Outliers – > Q3 + 1.5IQR or < Q1 – 1.5IQR
- C: Center – mean, median
- S: Spread – range (mention min and max), IQR (mention Q1 and Q3), standard deviation
- U: Unusual – gaps
- + Context – Always interpret in context!
2 Variable Distribution

- D: Direction – positive, negative
- U: Unusual – clusters, outliers, high leverage, influential points
- F: Form – linear, non-linear
